Process

• TM 112 can be spray or wipe applied, although the wipe method is most effective.

• When wiping on the material, saturate a clean, cotton cloth with TM 112 and apply to the mandrel.

• Initially, 2 to 3 even coats should be applied to ensure proper coverage, with a few minutes of dry time between each coat.

• Do not heat cure TM 112 prior to molding.

• After de-molding the part, re-apply TM 112 as required (typically one coat).

We offer a wide range of Dexkote 7 X Semi Permanent Mold Release Agents.

• Mold surface must be thoroughly cleaned to remove all traces of wax, release agents, any previous build up and other sealers. For this we recommend Dexclean Mold Cleaner.

• Surface should be dry and free of all contaminants.

• Seal mold with Dexseal Sealer (See Dexseal Sealer Technical Data Sheet for details.)

• Saturate clean cotton cloth (not dripping) with Dexkote 7 X Mold Release and wipe on a smooth continuous film of no more than a few square feet at a time.

• Wait until the Dexkote 7 X film starts to evaporate (approx. 3-20 seconds) and while film is still wet, wipe the surface with a second clean dry cotton cloth using a circular motion from the outside working inward until the film is left dry and clear. A cold mold surface may require a longer waiting period before wiping off excess material.

• Repeat above procedures until entire mold surface has been covered. Usually, 4-5 coats, allowing 10 minutes gap in between, are necessary.

• Allow to cure for 20-30 minutes at room temp. or for 10 minutes at 200 DegreeF finally.
